NET Aspirants Dismayed by Cancellation of June 18 Exam

Thousands of students from the city were in for a shock on Wednesday when the ministry of education. in a statement released at 10.02pm, said that the UGC-NET June 2024 examination held on June 18 has been cancelled after the UGC received inputs indicating that the 'integrity of the examination may have been compromised'. The statement referred to a CBI inquiry and a re-exam later.

Students said that they invest time and effort in preparation.

Calling for the strictest punishment against those guilty of malpractices, the students supported the ministry's decision and demanded better security measures.

The exam was held in 83 subjects in OMR (pen and paper) mode in two shifts. The National Testing Agency conducts the National Eligibility Test to determine the eligibility for a junior research fellowship, appointment as assistant professors and admissions to PhD in universities and colleges…
