Hindi Varsity VC Draws HC Ire for Suspending Students Sans Hearing

Nagpur: The Nagpur bench of Bombay high court on Wednesday censured the Mahatma Gandhi Antarrashtriya Hindi Vishwavidyalaya (MGAHV) vice chancellor for suspending students for allegedly posting adverse remarks against its administration on their social media handles.

"We are not satisfied with the affidavit filed by the university registrar. We noticed that the vice chancellor, day in and day out, is passing orders against students in flagrant violation of the principles of natural justice," a division bench comprising justices Nitin Sambre and Abhay Mantri said.
