DU students protest exams in tent; inconvenience only for a day or two: Authorities

A section of students of Delhi University (DU) have alleged that “makeshift tents” have been arranged for students in two colleges – Motilal Nehru College and Aurobindo College – to write their examinations this year.

On Thursday, students of the School of Open Learning (SOL) associated with the Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) held a protest at the DU Vice Chancellor’s Office against what they called “apathetic administration of DU and SOL for practising gross and open discrimination against the students of DU SOL.”

Officials, though, said the arrangement has been made in only one college – Motilal Nehru – due to increased number of students in SOL, adding commercial heaters, hot water and other facilities have been put in place for the students….
