‘Chamar-Dalit Quit India’, ‘Brahmin-RSS Zindabad’ Slogans Found on JNU Hostel Walls, Students Express Anger

Objectionable casteist and Hindutva slogans have been found on the walls of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). On 20 July, slogans such as ‘Chamar Quit India’, ‘Dalit Quit India’, ‘Brahmin-Bania Zindabad’, and ‘Hindu-RSS Zindabad’ were found on the walls of Kaveri hostel on the JNU campus. This has sparked significant anger among the university’s students. In response, students held a strong protest on campus, and the students’ union organised a march on Saturday evening.
