Officials of the Rajasthan Education Department visited a school in Baran district on Tuesday as they investigated it in connection with a school function that was given an Urdu name.

A programme at the Mahatma Gandhi Government School in Baran’s Shahabad area sent out invitation cards for a February 28 function with the title, ‘Jashn-e-Alvida’, or ‘celebration of a farewell’, written in Hindi. The invitation cards also had an image of Goddess Saraswati…
