A Timeline of Umar Khalid's Bail Hearings

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday (February 7) once again postponed the hearing on student leader Umar Khalid’s bail plea. Khalid was arrested in September 2020, under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, in a case relating to the North-East Delhi communal violence in February that year. His bail hearing in the Supreme Court has been delayed for the 14th time during his four-year-long incarceration.
