The Harvard Law Review Refused to Run This Piece About Genocide in Gaza

Dilip Simeon | 23 November 2023 | After the Truth Shower

So much for Ivy League education. Some life is more precious than other life. Some people have the right to defend themselves; while others, especially if backed by Uncle Sam, must not even protest whilst being slaughtered. After all, they’re just ‘human animals’. Your racist prejudice shines through the ivy. The statement of the President of the journal is a piece of sophistry, good preparation for her career as a lawyer. If she has a shred of ethical responsibility, she should relinquish the post.

The same goes for the other members of the board of editors who dissented. Such a step would not be good for their CVs, but it would be good for their souls, and safeguard their reputations. For the rest, let us be clear (this is an academic assessment): the era of Anglo-American liberal democratic pretension is over. It’s an ideological implosion. The intervention in Vietnam began in 1963. We all know what has transpired in the half century since.

The truth never dies but is made to live as a beggar- Yiddish proverb.
