Allegations have surfaced that political quotes and Sheikh Hasina’s name were inserted into textbooks, even prompting a change to the Ministry of Education’s logo. Key figures from Bangladesh’s Liberation War have been largely overlooked, sparking criticism from teachers and historians alike.

In response, the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) has initiated a process to revise these textbooks to present an impartial version of history.
