University in Surat to House Cows on Campus for ‘Positive Vibes’

With an intention to spread “positive energy” on the campus, authorities at the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) in Surat have decided to house around five to seven cows on the construction site of the new administrative building, officials said.
In the months to come, the varsity will also set up a “Kamdhenu Chair” in its biotechnology department to promote cow-based research and entrepreneurship in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Sources in the VNSGU said the decision to keep cows on the campus and look after them was taken after advice from an astrologer following recent problems hitting the university such as paper leak, low pass percentage of students in undergraduate courses, delay in tendering process for different works, and other issues…
