Pressured to Cancel Seminars by Iran, Palestine & Lebanon Envoys: JNU Prof

A Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) professor has filed a complaint with the administration claiming she was “pressured to cancel” three seminars, of which she was the coordinator, on the ongoing conflict in West Asia that were to be addressed separately by the Iranian, Palestinian, and Lebanese Ambassadors to India last month.
University sources told The Indian Express that professor Sima Baidya, who was the seminar coordinator, was replaced last month by a junior colleague by the Centre’s chairperson, Sameena Hameed.
