Hours before a discussion on the Manipur violence organised by a student group was set to begin at Jawaharlal Nehru University, the administration said no permission was taken for the same and advised that it be cancelled.

The student group, called the Collective, had scheduled the discussion on the “socio-cultural context of the ongoing crisis and the role of the state” at JNU’s Ganga Dhaba, as per their pamphlet.
