DU to female students, teachers: Register on NaMo app to attend Women’s Day event

Ahead of the International Women’s Day, Delhi University has made it mandatory for its female students and faculty members to register themselves on the NaMo application in order to attend the Viksit Bharat Ambassador – Nari Shakti Conclave scheduled to take place in the University’s Multipurpose Hall on Thursday.

While the university said the registration numbers will help them get an idea of the scale of arrangements to make, a section of the varsity has expressed its concerns. In an email to all colleges on Tuesday, the Deputy Registrar (Colleges) wrote: “The Principals/Directors of the Colleges/Institutions must mandatorily register all the female faculty of their College/ Institution on the… NaMo App…”

Several colleges including Kirori Mal College, Kalindi College and Bhagini Nivedita have even shared links to the NaMo app on their websites, encouraging students to register for the event…
