Jamia Teachers’ Association’s Dissolution Leaves Students, Staff in Financial Limbo

New Delhi: A student at Jamia Millia Islamia whose father is a daily wage labourer had pinned his hopes on the Jamia Teachers' Association scholarship to buy a laptop an essential tool for his coursework. However, with JTA dissolved by then vice-chancellor Najma Akhtar in 2022 and its office shut for over two years, the scholarship remains frozen, leaving many students and staff without crucial financial support.
