ABVP opposes Shamsul Islam lecture; More than 10 activists taken into police custody

ABVP workers protested against the lecture program organized by the BV Kakkillaya Foundation at Mangalore University College.

A lecture program was organized on ‘First War of Independence 1857- Joint Sacrifice, Joint Inheritance’ by Shamsul Islam, a Retired Professor at Delhi University. The ABVP activists have expressed their opposition to this lecture program and expressed their outrage as ‘Go back Shamsul’.

The ABVP workers are sitting in protest alleging that ‘controversial persons like Shamsul Islam are being invited to the program and creating a conflict atmosphere in the college’.
